Financial Assistance (Closing date for 2023 Awards - 31 July 2023)
Consideration, based on need, is given on an annual basis to applicants who are residents of the UK and who require financial assistance towards the cost of starting or continuing their education at college or university. The deadline for receipt of applications for 2023 is Monday, 31 July 2023. Preference will be given to students intending to enter the Communications and Content industries after completing their course.

Major Awards (Closing date for 2023 Awards - 31 May 2023)
Major Awards are offered annually for young people who are residents of the UK and who ideally would be under the age of 25 on 1st September in that year. Preference is given to students who intend to pursue a course of study, or educational project of particular merit, associated with printing, bookbinding, book, paper and archives conservation, stationery, papermaking, publishing, book selling or newspaper production. Recent awards have averaged £2,000 each.

Francis Mathew Stationers' Company Scholarships (Closing date for 2023 Awards - 31 May 2023)
Francis Mathew was Manager of ‘The Times' from 1948 to 1965. On his death in 1965 his many friends in the industry established a memorial fund and asked the Stationers' Company to administer it so as to provide travelling scholarships for young men or women in whose education and progress he was always keenly interested. Applicants must be residents of the UK.

Prize and Scholarship Fund
The Prize and Scholarship Fund supports excellence in the pursuit of knowledge by awarding prizes and scholarships to: the children of Liverymen and Freemen of the Stationers' Company studying for a degree, or carrying out further education or research at a University or College of Higher Education in the UK or overseas; students on courses linked to the Communications and Content industries through appropriate educational establishments in the form of funds for prizes.
Note re UK Resident definition: The official definition of ‘resident in the UK is: ‘The student is settled in the United Kingdom on the first day of the academic year of the course, and has been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) throughout the three years immediately preceding that date, and provided that he or she has not been resident therein, during any part of the three year period, wholly or primarily for the purpose of receiving full-time education’.
